Add Rules

When 3D Secure is activated on your account, you can add one or more rules. The options you choose allow transactions that meet the criteria to be successfully sent for authorisation. When a transaction does not meet your selected rules it will be rejected and show on your account as a failed transaction.

Multiple rules are used:

  • When you need additional security over multiple price ranges.
  • To vary the levels of security depending on price.

Add a new rule

  1. Log onto your MySagePay account.
  2. Go to the Settings tab.
  3. On the Settings menu, click 3D Secure. The 3D Secure Administration page opens.
  4. Click Add rule. The Add a new 3D secure rule page opens.
  5. Add a Start and End value, and then choose one or more restrictions to apply.
  6. Choose one or more options for your rule.

You can choose one or more of the five options listed in the following table.

Important. When adding more than one rule, the Start and End values must not overlap.
