1. Terms of Service Can Now Be Real-Time Updated
The Terms of Service (TOS) is now being managed in the Admin Console platform. For all EU PAPI users, when creating new application, the available / updated TOS will be presented.
2. Country of Primary Business Operations Being Sent Downstream
To comply with Anti-Money Laundry (AML) requirements, the field country of primary business operations (countryOfPrimaryOperation) is now being sent to downstream platforms.
3. New Products Available
Refer to the sub-sections for new products available for UK, Ireland, Poland, and Germany.
For any new products selected, product information and fee details will be reflected in the Equipment Section in the Merchant Agreement accordingly.
3.1 New POS Available in UK, Ireland, and Poland
The following POS terminal is now available for boarding in UK, Ireland, and Poland (both Direct market and Bank partners).

To board an application with the new terminals, PAPI users must submit the followings:
- Equipment Item Code: an appropriate code listed in the above table
- Purchase Type: RENT
- Amount and Quantity: an appropriate value requested by the merchant
- Rental Fee: a valid fee ranges from €0 to €50
4. Simplified Pricing Program in Norway and Denmark
The new Monetary Pricing Program 19003 SIMPLIFIED MSC – TIERED for Norway and Denmark has been added and is ready for use.
When applications are submitted with the new Simplified MSC, users can see the MSC Table and related legal wordings of Simplified Pricing in Schedule of Fees in the Unsigned/Signed Merchant Agreement. An updated Terms of Service (TOS) will also be generated.
5. AMEX MID Field for Germany
Germany PAPI users now need to board applications with AMEX MID when the following Equipment and Payment Networks is selected.
- Terminal / Girocard + International Schemes
- Terminal / Girocard Only
- Terminal / International Schemes Only
Use elements amexAcceptingInfo and amexMid for AMEX MID for Germany to ensure that applications can be boarded with a valid AMEX MID, and information can be passed to downstream systems. Refer to eBoarding API Reference for more details.
6. Central Clearing Service for Germany
Germany PAPI users now have an option to board applications with or without Central Clearing Service when the following Equipment and Payment Networks is selected.
- Terminal / Girocard + International Schemes
- Terminal / Girocard Only
Central Clearing Service is a service provided by Elavon to process all transactions made with Girocard and related settlements. If merchants opt out from Central Clearing Service, all Girocard transactions and settlements would be made by Girocard instead. This change makes sure that the information in boarding applications can be correctly captured and populated in Merchant Agreement.
New elements cClearing, cClearingService, cClearingTxnFee, and cClearingMonthlyFee have been introduced to the PAPI payloads to capture information regarding Central Clearing Service for Germany. Please note that per transaction fee (cClearingTxnFee) and monthly fee (cClearingMonthlyFee) cannot be set to zero values at the same time. Refer to eBoarding API Reference for more details.
7. Updated Merchant Agreement
7.1 Updated Merchant Agreement for all EU Jurisdictions
For all EU PAPI users, when creating an add location application, Disclosure statement displayed in the footer section of the Merchant Agreement has been updated.
7.2 Updated Merchant Agreement for Germany
For Germany PAPI users, updated Merchant Agreement will be generated when new application is submitted. Changes include:
- Updated various section titles.
- Changed wording regarding HRL and MSC table.
- Added the following legal wording at the end of Section 10 for Additional products and service offerings:
- Ich bestelle/Wir bestellen zu den Vertragsbedingungen von Elavon die oben angekreuzten Terminals mit der von mir/uns gewünschten Konfiguration.. Alle Preise verstehen sich zzgl. gesetzlicher Mehrwertsteuer. Bei Bezug einer SIM-Karte über Elavon versteht sich der monatliche Mietpreis für das mobile Terminal inklusive der entsprechenden Miete für die SIM-Karte.
- Changed the whole content in Section 11 for Data processing and other explanations, and Section 12 for Signatures.
7.3 Updated Merchant Agreement for Norway, Denmark, and Sweden
For Norway, Denmark, and Sweden PAPI users, the heading of the Merchant Agreement has been updated as follow.
- For new boading applications:
- Heading for Denmark is “Ansøgningsskema – Norden – DK”
- Heading for Norway is “Søknadsskjema – Norden - NO”
- Heading for Sweden is “Ansökningsformular – Norden – SE”
- For add location applications:
- Heading for Denmark is “Supplerende udsalgssted – Norden – DK”
- Heading for Norway is “Nytt utsalgssted – Norden – NO”
- Heading for Sweden is “Nytt försäljningsställe – Norden – SE”
8. Settlement Types for Multiple Bank Accounts Correctly Mapped Downstream
When multiple bank accounts are set in an application, the Settlement Types (Gross or Net Credit) per each bank account can now be mapped to downstream systems correctly.
9. Updated ECR Cable Types Correctly Mapped Downstream for UK, Ireland, and Poland
Previously when ECR Cabe Types were set for integrated devices, the code was not mapped correctly downstream. A fix has been made so that the correct code can now be mapped downstream without issue.
UK, Ireland, and Poland PAPI users can keep using the following two codes, and they will be mapped correctly downstream.

10. Corrected Translation for Marketing Opt-in/out Paragraph on eSign Page for Poland
Previously the marketing opt-in/out paragraph for Poland on eSign page was not shown properly in the translated language. A fix has been made and the merchants can now see the marketing opt-in/out paragraph translated correctly.
11. Correctly Display Girocard Fee Amount in Merchant Agreement for Germany
A fix has been made so that when Germany PAPI users send the POST /createdocumentpacket request, the correct Girocard fee amount and currency can now be displayed in Merchant Agreement.
